This project is being developed to improve the employability and entrepreneurship skills of young people through an online e-learning platform. E-learning as a methodology is relatively under utilised but is seen as an innovative medium to prepare young people for the world of work.
Research shows that youth unemployment rates are still high across Europe. Young people need new skills to be attractive to employers and research shows that there is a strong link between entrepreneurship and employability skills. There is also an increasing demand for international skills that is suited to the global economy such as language and cultural understanding.
The project will harness these digital technologies to encourage young people to participate and deliver these skills. This will help broaden their employment and entrepreneurship prospects required by employers.
The project will also encourage the mobility of young people throughout Europe in order for them to gain valuable work experience, which will also help increase their chances of employment.
